There are lots of foreign currency exchange places in the major cities and they cater for most tourist currencies including, US dollars, UK pounds, Euros, Japanese Yen and many more.

Bring plenty of layers. It can get cold especially at night and hot during the day. Walking boots or shoes and walking poles to help save your knees.  A small rucksack to carry your water and snacks for each day’s trekking. Bring a sleeping bag for the teahouse accommodation. 

Come anytime to visit this beautiful country but April/May and October/November are the favourite times for trekking.
