This is a 17 day trip with a number of days allocated for sightseeing either side of the trek. The trek itself is 12 days.

Trek durations are flexible. For the super fit with only a few days to spare some, treks can be done quicker. For those that want to spend a little more time walking, some treks can be extended. Contact us to find out what options there are and what would be best for you and your travel plans.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive at Kathmandu International airport where your guide will meet you and take you by private bus to your hotel. In the evening enjoy a traditional evening meal at a local restaurant with your guide.

Day 2 Sightseeing in Kathmandu with your own local guide. See such sights as the famous Swayambhu Temple, Durbar Square or the Bagmati Ghats.

Day 3 Continue your sightseeing with a trip to Patan and the Boudhanath Stupa 

Day 4 Transfer to Kathmandu airport for the internal flight to Lukla then walk to Phakding.

Day 5 Walk to Namche Bazaar.

Day 6 Rest day in Namche Bazaar to acclimatise.

Day 7 Walk to Dhole.

Day 8 Walk to Machhermo.

Day 9 Rest day in Machhermo.

Day 10 Walk to Gokyo.

Day 11 Walk to Dhole.

Day 12 Return via Namche Bazaar.

Day 13 Walk to Phakding.

Day 14 Arrive back in Lukla.

Day 15 Take the short flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu.

Day 16 Today you are free to relax at your hotel or explore Kathmandu at your leisure or to wander around the many gift shops and restaurants in Tamel.

Day 17 Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and transport you by private bus to the airport.
